SLENDERVERSE
marble hornets:
- tim: derse-leaning doombound. no initial class, but could be a maid? the way he talks about himself and links the events of the story to him having probably the longest exposure to the operator (50/50 between him and alex, considering that one home video), thus unintentionally dooming everybody else, plus how he got probably the second worst fate of the five: eternal eldritch survivor's guilt and lingering slender sickness.
- jay: thief of light, i initially gave him a derse sway but it could go either way tbh. this man is a shockingly soft thief that gave into his curiosity WAY too fast. mostly got it from how he didn't start giving the knowledge he got out to anyone in person until he was sure the other person was working with him, and the tendency to throw himself (and whoever was helping him investigate) in with little care for the safety of himself or his teammates. passiveness could be rogue-ish, but he didn't seem avoidant of his presumed aspect.
- brian: prospit-leaning voidbound. i don't know with him dude he's a mystery. not a lot of time to get to know him pre-operator either, he just seems really nice above all else.
- alex: prospit-leaning prince of rage. another shaky one or a possible misread due to rage's nature being kind of fucky (the line between aspect and makara shenanigans is surprisingly blurry and gamzee is the example with the most to look at, which makes it hard to discern sometimes), so i will simply just list my best supporting evidence: scorched-earth method with dealing with the operator, tunnel vision under stress. irritability is the shakiest because the rage aspect doesn't necessarily suggest being angry, moreso on the truth in its entirety.
everymanHYBRID:
- vinnie: derse-leaning lightbound, either a prince, lord, or thief. more vriska-esque when read as a thief, but with a lot more underlying misery in there. either directly or indirectly (by proxy, used as/instructed to be bait by a certain rather handsome beast, etc.) and because of his need for knowledge, he is responsible or related to the deaths of evan, jeff, alex, jessalynn, jessie, lexi, the guy that found box five, shaun, daniel, ryan, and a number of unnamed EMH watchers, as well as having endangered practically everyone who watched past maybe episode 5. vinnie also has deliberately edited footage to make himself look better, which could indicate him being a prince? doomed ideal he strives to fit but ultimately crumbles alongside said ideal in the end or whatever.
- evan: see this topic for my struggles with giving evan a title.
- jeff: prospit-leaning knight of life. jeff is kind of elusive so this is mainly going off his role in alex's life and as the guardian. i really should look into it more, it's not a great assignment in retrospect. personally i think that because he's going to die first in every iteration no matter what, he makes a REALLY solid candidate for a doom player. though maybe the overabundance of doom might be a signifier of the original guess being more accurate?
tribetwelve (I DO NOT SUPPORT ADAM ROSNER):
- noah: prospit-leaning heir of time. unwittingly destined to become a highly powerful god-demon-thing, plus how a ton of that destiny is related to time travel specifically and him essentially being stuck in a weird loop of helping past him make it to the firebrand stage of god-demon-thinghood.
TV SHOWS
supernatural:
- dean (seasons 1-5): knight of blood. unmoored loyalty and willingness to throw himself into the line of fire for sam, family-first mentality and high value placed on familial relationships, even when there's a complete lack of them like when he's forced to be the peacekeeper between his father and sam.
- dean (seasons 6-15): prince of blood. still extremely loyal, but decisions are now being made with the intent of being self-serving, made more obvious by dean rationalizing said decisions by saying they're what's best for others. see: every single time after season 5 that he brings sam back to life, tries to protect sam, or tries to "improve" sam's quality of life somehow, without any input from sam or consideration for his input when given. this ultimately leads to breakdowns in immediate relationships, especially with sam.
- sam (seasons 1-5): seer of doom. sam's future sight could be likened to terezi's ability to see a situation's best outcome despite her never having ascended, except in his case it tends to mostly consist of future deaths. carries a notable amount of empathy for his upbringing (considering S1-S5 dean who can be straight up heartless at times, he's the more empathetic of the two. also considering that bit of time sam spent without a soul and the difference that made.), and has a great understanding for those suffering, leading to him being the kind or "soft" brother when properly characterized by the writers.
- sam (seasons 6-15): honestly depends on whether or not the writers remember he's a main character. bounces around a lot from probably heartbound, to back to his original seer of doom assignment, to seer/mage of mind if he's just there to fill the "smart guy" role. really just does not have as much going for him
miraculous ladybug (mostly because i streamed it to laugh at it with some friends and started forming opinions, which in of itself happened because of some video essays on how godawful the show is):
- marinette: prospit-leaning sylph of space. kanaya incarnate. i've also seen her as a rogue of light and think that works pretty well for the ladybug luck symbolism, but given her powers revolve around creation and healing, i'll stick with sylph of space.
- adrien: could go either way moon-wise, knight of doom. hopelessly loyal to ladybug, doom mostly came from his home situation and the writers completely wasting his potential as a character
- chloe: derse-leaning maid of rage or thief of hope. before a certain someone decided she was irredeemable, she had a really solid thing with wanting to be liked but trying to balance that with wanting her mother to like her, leading to the asshole-ness and something that's pretty characteristic of thieves: a want for close relationships but not knowing how to go about it healthily. the maid of rage thing comes from how she's responsible for a ton of akumatizations, creating negative emotions in other people.
